Glasgow is the biggest city in Scotland and was once known as the British Empire`s second city. The centre is lively and vibrant and is known as a great place to shop and for it`s nightlife. The heart of the city is is George Square, a 19th-century municipal showpiece crowned by the City Chambers.
The centre of the city is laid out in a large grid system with a mix of tall new structures and more elegant Victorian buildings.
A great place to shop with world renowned streets called Argyle Street, Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street offering shoppers an array of goods and services. Edinburgh may have the great historical buildings, but Glasgow certainly is the place to shop in Scotland.
If shopping isn`t your thing. Then why not try some cultural aspects of the city including the Gallery of Modern Art, Royal Concert Hall or the theatre Royal.
The redeveloped 18th-century warehouses of the Merchant City are a great place to visit with its Bars, cafes and designer shops
A great restaurant we would like to recommend:
